if you're talking about network unlock code to use with other carriers, for starters you will need to get your imei code, which you get by pressing *#06# on your tmonbile phone.....record the numbers and then call 1-800-937-8997. from there you will request the unlock code. they will ask for the imei and your email address.within 48 hours, you will get an email with the unlock code and instructions on how to use it. if for any reason they do not give you the unlock code, you will have to purchase it through an online vender such as ebay0 comments

I used to work for T-mobile for 3+ years and know the ins and outs of phones and the indsutry!
Carriers typically do not unlock phones unless you have a proper reason. This may be a precaution to avoid customer churn. When you dial 611 from your phone or 800-937-8997 in order to reach T-mobile customer care, tell the operator that you need to unlock the phone so that you can use it overseas. They will have your IMEI info and will verify it with you and will ask for an e-mail address to provide the unlock code when it is generated. This will take anywhere between 2-48 hours to complete. Enjoy your Sparq!

If this is the lock that prevents you from using a non -T-Mobile SIM you would need to contact the company that originally provided your phone (T-Mobile) and provide your IMEI (as Black Tie mentioned) and contact customer care with your request to obtain your unlock code.
You must meet certian criteria, you must be a customer in good standing for a period of 30 days or more. There are exceptions, if you can explain that you are not leaving T-Mobile but want to use your phone during your holidays while you are in Europe (for example). Same process from that point on.
If you qualifythey will provide the unlock code and the method to utilize it will be sent to you within 48 hours.
