Liam, yes, passengers are encouraged to take all perscription medications in their carry on. Please make sure to put them in a clear ziploc bag as you will be asked to remove them from your carry on when you go through security. Pills may be placed in one of the pill containers but any liquid medication needs to be in it's orginal perscription bottle. Hope this helps!

So I just keep them in the little orange pill bottle with all the info on it and as I go through security show it to the TSA officer there?
You can keep them in the original bottle or if you have one of the daily pill containers you may use that too. When you go through security take it out of the carry on, put it in the container that goes through the scanner. You don't have to hand it or show it to the TSA agent.
