my tv says my smart card is not in right
when i turned on my tv it said searching for a signal then it told me that my smart card was not nsertd correctly but it is and i dont know how to fix it

Let's see...maybe first I would suggest, if you haven't already to blow on the bottom of the card. Sounds weird, but maybe some dust is getting in the way. Something else to try would be to get a second card, (like a rewards card from your local market) and carefully slide it on top of the smartcard. Don't push all the way. The connection may not be reading properly and the other card may slide it down closer to the reader. Of this works, you may need a new receiver. In which case call 1-800-333-3474. Hope this helps.

After taking a look at the situation you posted, Makenzie, I found it interesting! What you could do as a possible resolution is take the smartcard out and reinsert it. Make sure the purple side is up and the arrow points toward the receiver. If that doesn't work, let me know so I can issue you either a new smartcard or a new receiver.
