My dish network receiver will not start up.

My dish network receiver will not start up. The screen on the TV displays "DISH NETWORK STARTING UP" but nothing happens from there. I've already tried the reset button and unpluged the receiver with no positive results. It did this yesterday and finally did start up after about a 1/2 hour. After 2 1/2 hours this morning we are still receiving the same results on the screen and the light on the receiver is yellow.

    It sounds like your receiver is going out. The only things you can try are to do a hard reset(unplug it which you've already done), and also to bypass any power strips/ surge protectors)

    If that doesn't work you will need to get the receiver replaced. Sometimes, you can leave the receiver unplugged for an hour and it will boot back up, but I think the receiver is definitely going bad. You can either call 1800-333-3474 for our replacement or ask one of our online chat support reps at http://www.dish.com/chat/ . if you have two receivers in the same room with this issue within 30 days then you may need a tech out to check that your dish is properly grounded.
