The best thing to do is to contact Dish Network customer service and follow their instructions to speak with a technical support representative. They will be able to advise you appropriately.
-If your referring to forgetting your online DISH Network account password, under the fields where you would enter your ID & Password on DISHnetwork.com, you will simply select can't log in, you would then select the option for forgotten password, you will then need to answer a few questions, once you have completed this process you will obtain be able to obtain your password. If you're referring to the password on your receiver you will need assistance changing that if you have forgotten it, please feel free to contact customer service.
I have worked at Dish for about 4 years now as an Advanced Technical Representative. I take calls on A/V and signal issues in homes and RV's. I also take calls on Broadband related calls as they pertain to Dish Network receivers.
If you call Dish at 1-800-894-9131 and tell them to send a 'parental hit'. That is the term we use for clearing out any locks passwords on recvrs. Generally takes about 15 mins to take effect. You'll know when it does, because when you go to the main menu and select number 5 for "locks", it won't ask you for a password anymore. It will just take you right into the locks menu.
