I have a dual receiver and the main one is working fine but the 2nd one is not working.

I have a dual receiver and the main one is working fine but the 2nd one is not working. When I turn on the TV on I only have a fuzzy black and white screen. I know it needs to be on channel 60 and it is but now it says "shut off was activated." Help??!!? Also, still says no signal.

try an auto scan on your tv, tv2 is usually set up on channel 60, or 73, depending on your setup

Also look on the back of the remote, the tech is suppose to put stickers letting u know the location & channel. Also if u've done any thing as unhooking on the reveiver. Just look behind the receiver and make sure it's all hooked up. If there's any wires unhooked let me know & I can assit u.

Yes it should b on tv (antenna/cable). That's were the wire is hooked up to the screw on behind the tv.

K as far as the remote not working there's a antenna behind ur receiver. That antenna allows that 2nd remote work, So move the antenna a little. If 60 is not showing a pic, do a channel search and it should pull in the channel. Also u can go to the menu button on tv-1. Press the #'s 6-1-5. This is ur modulator. Check there and c what channel tv-2 is on. Let me know.

Modulator should say ur channel for tv -2. Once u press the menu button, then press the # 6 then the # 1 then the # 5. That's ur modulator screen. Didn't mean to mess u up on that, sorry.

Try this, Go to the receiver & press the re-set button. Go to the right side of the receiver & press the door & it will open. Press the red button. This will re-set ur receiver. I hope this helps. If not let me know. We will figure this out.

No change after the reset. In the autoprogram it isn't finding any channels.

K, U could have a bad diplexer or maybe a wire. Look behind ur receiver & make sure u have nothing hooked up to the RCA jacks side-2. This can cause problems. Also make sure it's in dual mode. Look at ur receiver & make sure the orange light is on the dual square side. That means theres 1 box & 2 boxes. If it's not in the 2-box side, open the door on the right side of the receiver. Press the door on the right side. Open it & press the mode button. Follow the direction from there. Hope this helps.

3 things to fix this, turn the tv to channel 60, 116, or 73 or do an auto channel search from the TV menu. the last thing you can do is call 1800-333-3474 and have a tech run out there and fix it for a small fee of $15.00

at the receiver press menu, then go to system setup(option 6), installation(option 1), modulator(option 5) this will show you what channel tv 2 needs to be on and in what mode, either cable or antenna. hope this helps

take your tv remote and turn it to channel 22, 60, 73 or 116

    or

find menu button on tv remote
    find 'setup'
    find 'autoprogram'
the tv will scan the channels til it finds the dish channel.
