How do I hook up a second tv without a second receiver?

How do I hook up a second tv without a second receiver? I think the original installation guy mentioned toning to a certain channel. Do I need to take the receiver up to that room and plug it into the new tv to initiate the tv?

If u have that in place ur 2nd tv channel will be what ever channel ur 1st on is on. So try channel 3 or 4. If u don't have a wire going to ur 2nd location let me know & I will go step by step to help u do this.

Do you mean a coax cable? I have the tv hooked up to a coax cable from the wall.

Yes a coax, RG-6. That wire coming from ur wall does it go to ur tv-1 or outside somewhere.

Wow I'm not sure. When the original tech installed the VIP722k DVR downstairs he then went upstairs and checked the wire in the wall. He said just to hook the tv up and tune to a channel but I can't remember what the was.

K, if he hooked that wire up then do a auto search on the tv itself. That will pull the channel in. Try these channels 1st 22,60,73 or 116. Try that & let me know. :)

Ok so 73 will show the same station that it is set to downstairs. So is there no way to watch two stations without two receivers?

Ur 722 is a dual turner & u should be able to. Go to ur receiver & make sure its in dual mode. U will see a yellowish light, make sure that light is under the 2 boxes. If its not open the door on the right side of the receiver by pressing it open. Then press the mode button. From there u should be in dual mode. Let me know.
