When you have a that error message it means they the hard drive in your receiver is defective so you need to call dish and have a tech go out and replace your receiver.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this issue. If it has been more then 4 hours go ahead and unplug the reciever. If it continues to give you the message once it restarts, call 1-800-333-3474 and ask for a replacement. It should be at no charge to you. Also make sure to ask for credits for the days without service while you wait for the replacement.0 comments

1st try unplugging receiver for 1 minute. Then plug back in & this will reset it.1 comment

don't be unhappy, no technology is without an occasional hiccup. try to unplug it for 10 seconds and then plug back in and see if it comes up. if not then call 1800333dish and ask for an internal technician and they will verify your system from start to finish and ensure that nothing is causing the receiver to have problems.
