My receiver keeps "restarting" constantly, and inbetween seems to freeze up and won't respond at all. I've tried unplugging it...sometimes it works, and sometimes I have to do it multiple times.

  • Q: Kelly....also...that can be poor signal from sat/transponder thats used to update the software for your particular receiver. IF you are able to reset it and eventually get it back up...hold down the INFO key on remote until getting to system info screen and select run system test, because that can also represent a hard drive issue if this is a dvr! Hope that helps!

Reading what has been discussed so far, the only thing that can be done now is to get the unit replaced. You can do so by calling 1-800-531-5000 and asking for tech suport. They will have you go through some trouble shooting steps to ensure that nothing has been missed, then sumbit an order for a replacement.
