My DIRECTV HD receiver won't turn on, how can I get it to turn on?

My DIRECTV HD receiver won't turn on, I have removed the card and pressed the reset button multiple times and it still won't budge. I've also unplugged via the back of the receiver and plugged back in. Still won't turn on. What should I do?

    Call 1-800-531-5000 (keep pushing '0' to get right through) for some very basic troubleshooting. You will have done most (or all of it) so just go through the motions. Odds are the box is burned out. It happens (more often than people would like to admit). Hopefully it's not a DVR as you lose all the recordings. If troubleshooting fails they will get you another box (2-3 days) at no charge except shipping. Sorry I can't do more here!

    just as super tech said, call 1-800-531-5000 and speak with tec support - you have already done most of the troubleshooting, but will have to go thru the motions. with protection plan on your account you can get a new receiver for $19.95 delivery and handling

    You Have done all the Troubleshooting we would have you do over the phone - especially unplugging the receiver. Sound like it is dead, and you need a replacement - you will need to into tech support at 1-800-531-5000. If you have the protection plan this would be covered and no cost to replace. If not it could cost $19.95 to ship you another leased receiver.

    K, 1st go to the receiver itself and press the power button. If that doesn't work unplug the receiver for 15 seconds then plug back in.... This will re-set ur receiver and should get it back to normal.... Let me know if u need more help.... THANK U....
