make sure your main receiver is plugged up and running and check the cables on the one giving you the problem. If nothing improves i suggest you calling DirecTv cause troubleshooting this receiver can get very technical.

I can Help; I've been trained by DirecTV. I have worked as a Technical Support Supervisor for DirecTV for over 5 years
First Unplug the power from your main Genie server for about 1 full minute then plug it back in. the Genie client should be up and running once the server has rebooted - although you might need to unplug the genie for about 30 seconds
if you have reset the genie and the mini genie and this is still happening you have bad cabling or a bad conection this s very likely with the genie system because it is very sensitive to disruptions causes by cabling You will probably need to call and get a service call
