I was trying to change the resolution of the picture and was in the settings section using the remote. I don't remember exactly what the selection was but after I selected it and hit enter the tv went blank for a few seconds and then nothing but a blue screen with the floating words 'not support'. Nothing I've tried will allow me to get back to the menu. No buttons on the remote work on the DirecTV box. I unplugged the box and it reset the satellite connections, but then the blue screen with 'not support' appeared again. Help! How do I reset the HD DVR box?

On the front of the receiver, you will see a button that says "res" press that repeatedly until the 480p lights up. If your tv supports 720p, you can try that as well. Let me know how it goes

With everything on, hold down the exit button for about 15 secs. If that doesn't work, on the front of the receiver there is a RES button that you can press to change manually.
