Kathy, the best thing to do, is to call customer service @ 1-800-531-5000 and speak to them, paying something is better then not paying at all. Please give them a call and they will work with you.

If your service are already off (suspended) then the total amount due (past and current) must be paid (per Directv policy) before services can be restored. Now with that said, if you are able to just pay the past due, like JD stated above call into billing at 1-800-531-5000 and speak to a supervisor; if you haven't had any issues with your account it "might" (I make no promises) the supervisor might be able to assist in getting your service back on. In the future if you can not pay your bill within 10 days if it due date - Always call in right at the 10 days from the due date to get an extension (by the way based on directv computer system); it will only allow a 7 day grace period from the schedule suspend date.
I hope that information was helpful.
also as a reminder; we here at DIRECTLY is not Directv, we are current and former employees. We do not have access to your account and our advice is limited based on the information you provide.

Directv Policy is once your service is interrupted you will have to pay the full amount due to have service restored, however, if you can pay the full past due amount we can restore your service. If very rare cases you may be able to make a partial payment on the past due but here I make no promises that your service will be restored. Call 1-800-531-5000 and when prompted say close account. This will direct your call with the Retention Department. They will have the most power to help you.

This expert is helping you out because there weren't many active DIRECTV experts.

Kathy normally Directv requires you pay the entire balance before restoring service but if you pay within 25 dollars Directv will carry the balance over to the next bill sometimes not always A SUPERVISOR MAY HAVE IT RESTORED
