Edith, a flight embargo involves checked baggage restrictions and limitations on the number of excess bags that may be checked in. In most cases, it means nothing to you unless you are planning to check baggage above the standard 2 pieces. The embargo is in place due to either the size of the aircraft being used on one or all of your flights or because there are some other factors such as runway length or take-off weight restrictions. If you are flying into Key West, FL you are allowed no more than one checked bag, in all others with embargos in place, you will be permitted at least 2 (with associated fees of course).
I hope this answers your question. If I can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for flying Delta!2 comments
