Reset voicemail or Visual Voicemail passwords
Step 1: Choose one of the following options to reset your voicemail or Visual Voicemail password.
Reset through an automated system over the phone
Dial 611 from your wireless device.
Press the option for Voicemail Help, and then follow the IVR prompts to reset your password. You will receive a temporary password via free text message.
    Important Note
If you are an iPhone or Blackberry Visual Voicemail customer, you do not need a temporary password and will be able to enter a new password right away.
Log in and reset from your myAT&T online account
If you log in to myAT&T using your wireless phone number as your User ID, you can only reset the voicemail password associated with the wireless number you used to log in to myAT&T.
Go to the Reset Voicemail Password page in myAT&T. The Reset Voicemail Password screen will display your wireless number.
Select Submit to reset your voicemail password. You'll receive a temporary password via free text message.
If you log in to myAT&T using an AT&T Access ID, you can reset the voicemail password for any line on the account.
    Log in to myAT&T.
Hover over Wireless at the top of the page and select Phone/Device.
Click the Select button and then select the line for which you want to change the voicemail password.
    Select Reset my voicemail password.
Verify the phone number and then select Submit to reset the voicemail password. A free text message with a temporary password will be sent to the device.
    Important Note
If you are an iPhone or Blackberry Visual Voicemail customer, you do not need a temporary password and will be able to enter a new password right away.
Log in and reset from the myAT&T mobile site
Go to m.att.com/myatt in your mobile Web browser and log in to your account.
From the Wireless Home screen, tap Reset Voicemail Password.
Tap Reset. Upon completion, you will receive a temporary password via free text message.
If you are a Blackberry Visual Voicemail customer, you do not need a temporary password and will be able to enter a new password right away.
Use the myAT&T app for Android or iPhone
Launch the myAT&T app, and authenticate if necessary.
From the Wireless Home screen, tap Reset Voicemail Password.
Tap Reset. You will receive a temporary password via free text message.

Tap Reset. You will receive a temporary password via free text message.

Step 2: Change your voicemail or Visual Voicemail password.
Now that your password has been reset and you've received a temporary password, you're ready to change it to a more secure 4- to 15-digit password by following these steps:
    Voicemail
Press and hold the 1 or Voicemail key to call into the voicemail system from your wireless device.
When prompted, enter the temporary voicemail password received in Step 1.

Visual Voicemail does not require a password. For added security on your Visual Voicemail capable device, go to our Device How-to Center and look under Settings & security for instructions on setting up a screen lock.
    Press 4 for Personal Options.
    Press 2 for Administrative Options.
    Press 1 for Password Options.

To setup a new passcode, first you will want to dial 611 from your cell phone, once in the automated menu listen for the voicemail help menu (option 2 or 5), then it will give a prompt to reset your voicemail password. After that is completed it will send you a temporary passcode to your phone via a text message. Once this is reset you can dial into your voicemail (press and hold 1) this will have you enter that temp passcode in then it will ask to enter a new one.

Also you can call the same 611 or 1-800-331-0500 into customer service and they can help you as well, you can also go down to your local ATT corp. location to get assistance. Hope this helps.

Hi and welcome, you can now reset your voicemail online, right from your account (https://www.att.com/olam/passthroughAction.mywo...) or if you would like to, you can also reset your voicemail on the phone, dial 611 (800 331 0500)then enter your 10-digit phone number, including the area code. Press "3" to get help with voice mail and then press "3" again to reset your voice mail password. Enter your billing ZIP code. Please note that if your account is password-protected you will be transferred to an AT&T representative who will need to verify your account in order to reset your password. Wait to receive a text message from AT&T containing a temporary password. You can also use the last seven digits of the phone number as your temporary password. Once you are able to get into your voice mail, you can set up a different password if you like. You may also need to record your voice mail greeting again.
