The advantage to electronic tickets is that you no longer have to have printed tickets in order to travel! Everything is done electronically through the check-in and boarding process, which verifies that you are traveling and onboard each of your flights.
If you need to print your actual e-ticket confirmation, you should be able to do this by logging into your reservation online at http://www.aa.com (just click on My Trips and log in with your name and reservation locator, then you can print the itinerary/confirmation).
If you are trying to print out boarding passes for an electronic ticket, you can check-in online or through the AA mobile app up to 24 hours prior to your departure. If you check-in online, you can print your boarding passes from there. If you check in through the AA mobile app, you can have your boarding passes emailed to you, then print them at home.
Of course, you can always check-in at the airport through a kiosk or agent. :) Hope this helps. Have a great trip!
