My Samsung Stratosphere won't let me connect with my hotmail account, it gives me messages telling me about "account setup error"... What can I do to fix it? I do have a gmail account set up on my phone so maybe that has had an effect. But I continually get error messages with my hotmail account log-on. I know that all of my information is right because I have tried it a bunch of diffrent times. Please help!!

Try deleting your hotmail account and then re-adding it. This usually helps that issue. If you still have trouble, try downloading the hotmail app from the market, it seems to work better than the built-in mail interface.

Ted Turner does not own me.

Another email program you can use is called K9 Mail. It's a very reliable email client that works with many different email addresses. One of the only clients that will work seamlessly with Cox email, even.

You shouldn't need to use a 3rd party app with hotmail as it is a large provider, and all phones should be able to pick up its server settings. Try deleting the account and setting it up again and see if it continues to give you the error message. Is there anything else I can help you with?
