I hate my Verizon home phone (land line).
Also, only the phone number shows up for caller id. I hate that! I no longer want this phone. We were talked into it by a V representative at one of their stores. We were not told about these non-features. I want my old Comcast phone back! Live and learn!

Who told you that you can't fax with your phone line? All Verizon lines are capable of faxing including FiOS, anyone who told you otherwise is incorrect. Also caller I'd should display the name if your phone supports it and the feature is enabled on your account. If it is not working either the feature is off, there is an issue with your caller Id unit, or there is a problem with your wiring. You should call to have these issues addressed.

Is it a home phone connect? Ask them to upgrade you to the new equipment because it has those features.
