I bought an iPhone in November and already had an unlimited data plan from a previous smart phone.

This expert is helping you out because there weren't many active Verizon experts.
Unfortunately, when a hotspot feature is added to an unlimited plan, it automatically gets rid of the unlimited data. if you call in and are persistent enough (and nice enough, kindness will get you just about anything with Verizon,) ask to speak to a supervisor, and talk about getting your ineligible plan back. If you talk to the right person, they will be able to get back your plan, and should also be able to add the hotspot feature without changing the unlimited plan. Sorry for all of the confusion!

Call 18009220204 say there was a mistake made. I rep just needs to submit a form for historical data pricing.m after this is done it will take a day or 2 and you will be fine.

I'm going to go a different route. Go in to a corporate Verizon Wireless store and ask to speak to the manager. Explain the situation to him/her and ask them to please complete a historical pricing exception form and submit it on your behalf. This form goes to a special group that can put the unlimited data back on your account. They are the ONLY people within Verizon that can do it. By going into the store, you will know that the form is submitted rather than assuming that someone in care over the phone knows this form exists and completes it correctly. Hope this helps!
