    Life's short stay "UNITED"

The miles will be credited to the MP account mentioned in the booking.
So since the name on the is yours the MP card will have to match that of the name on the ticket. otherwise you will not get credit

Reservations, web, customer service, I am your wonder woman! I understand that some united policies are not...

    Ann,
Only the named person on the ticket may receive mileage credit for flown miles, regardless of who purchased the ticket. Often parents feel they should get credit for their children's ticketed miles, but it does not work that way.

Now, if he uses a credit card that from the revenue purchase accrues points in some way, then those points on the credit card would be his.

You get credit for flight miles, If he has a United Chase card, he would credit for points on purchase only.

The passenger gets the credit. That would be YOU! Make sure you include your Mileage Plus number when making the reservation. Credit card payment by others means nothing unless he is on a seperate mileage bonus program, in which case check with the credit card company to see if they give him miles too. Bon voyage!
