You won't be able to make any change to the name after ticketing but make sure you have several pieces of ID to prove her identity. The only hassle she may encounter is going through Security in case they question the documents. I don't foresee it as a major problem for such a small change. Best of luck.

    Michael,
You can call the web support desk and be charming. It is possible to do but we are not supposed to make that kind of change. What we generally do is just notate the record with the correct information. The security folks generally allow this type of typo. 1800 300 1547

Michael what you can do is call 1800UNITED1 and speak to a supervisor to make a note in your reservation so that once you check in they will see the mistake at the airport. Since it is Domestic and not international it should not be a problem. The last name matters the most. However, the mistake is on the first name and that should not be a problem once the documentation is made TSA will maybe ask for a second ID for her and if you do have a second ID I would be prepared and bring that with me to the airport for a second reference.

    Michael,
As long as there are no other airlines involved in the reservation (i.e. partner airlines or even non partners) and all the flights are operated by United this is a simple name correction that any agent can do, no need to ask for a supervisor or anything like that. Good luck.
