    It should not be a problem to get a crew member to assist you. Are you sure she will say yes? I personally do not think this should be brought on as a surprise UNLESS you two have talked marriage in the past.

    Are you saying you want to propose to your girlfriend and want to do it on board the aircraft? I think that you could charm one of the flight attendants to assist you, though this is not a normal thing that is allowed.

    My suggestion is that you have your girlfriend board first and find the seats. Then you should talk to both the captain and the head flight attendant about how you want this process to occur. Once they are agreeable to your request, once they tell you, you can do it. It truly is entirely their call, so be your most charming self and make sure they will comply!!!

    Congratulations, I know she will say YES, what a wonderful way to celebrate.

      Hi Katy, thanks for ur response. She has no idea I purchased a ticket. It's hopefully gona be a surprise. Anyway I can board b4 or after so she does not see me. Not sure if this is possible but being that I met her on a flight I wasnt suppose to be on, I thought this would be a special way of proposing.

    Marriage? Just ask the flight attendant when you head off to the lavatory if he/she can assist you. Heck, they may even offer to buy you a drink (and others too). A fun suggestion is to have her paged over the intercom and them you can meet her in front of everybody to propose on the microphone. I was a flight attendant for 28 years, done it many times. Contratulations to you both!

      Thanks for your response. she is traveling to see her family and does not know I purchased a ticket. So she has no idea. Is it possible to board the plane without her knowing it. I already took the seat next to her because I helped her book it, so I knew where she was sitting. I'm all nervous telling you about this lol. I'm hoping this can somehow be possible because we met on a flight I wasn't suppose to be on, so it's really meaningful for me. What do you think?

      Hang back at boarding and wear a slight disguise (nothing suspicious looking). Try to be the last one on but don't wait until the last second. See the flight attendant at the boarding door to tell her your plan. Problem with doing it before takeoff is it is very hectic and everyone has to be seated immediately and until the first ten minutes of the flight. See if they can find someone who can switch with your seat just until you get into the air. Then you can do the disappearing act into the lavatory. Sounds a little complicated, anything can happen so be prepared. If nothing else, you can surprise her just by showing up and then take it from there. Carlos, if you give me your flight number and date of travel, I might be able to check to see who the flight attendants are on that flight and send them a message. This is too fun.

      Hi Keith everything went great. A lot of stress but all worth it.someone came to get me at my seat and I was the first to board.someone switched me while the plane was at altitude. The most important thing is that she said yes. Thank you very much for everything.
