A limited number of bassinets can be reserved for use, free of charge, on international aircraft (Boeing 747, 767, 777, 757-200 and 787). These bassinets are large enough to hold an infant weighing 22 pounds (10 kg) or less. They may not be used for takeoff or landing, or when the seatbelt sign is illuminated. Along with bassinet requests we will provide accompanying seat assignments for an adult traveling with an infant and up to one travel companion. To request a bassinet and an accompanying seat assignment, contact United Reservations at 1-800-UNITED-1 (1-800-864-8331) within the United States or call the appropriate worldwide contact. There will be no fee for these seat assignments when arranged by United Reservations or with a United representative at the airport. We recommend making your request early, as bassinets may no longer be available for your flight once you are at the airport. There are no bassinets available in United FirstĀ®, United Global First and United BusinessĀ® on international flights.

On United aircraft there are no stationary bassinets. A crew member can bring you one on request. You can type in Special Services at United.com to add it to your reservation, but they are limited and it is basically first come, first served. Remind the flight attendant of your request upon boarding. They will bring it to you after takeoff to place on the floor at your feet. You will need to hold the infant for takeoff and landing and during any time the fasten seat belt sign is on. Enjoy your trip.
