Question: now that the AT&T/ TMobile merger is off, what's in store for customers?
-
Accepted answer
The competition with AT&T is definitely back on, however I wouldn't expect to see any major changes soon. T-Mobile will continue to offer the best pricing through their Value Plans. I would expect T-MO to continue to invest primarily in Android phones, with the possibility of the iPhone joining the line up when the next model is released. I think you will find sales associates in store re-energized because they now have answers to your questions that before were up in the air. Look for mobile broadband products and no annual contract products to become a large focus. T-Mobile is losing customers on the contract side, so trying to find ways to become more competitive with Cricket, Boost, etc.

I work for a T-Mobile retail location, and have a deep knowledge of how the company works. I may not always...
While "The Powers That Be" have remained fairly tight lipped about the situation, I would not expect any major changes to happen anytime soon. Just about the only thing I can think of that would be considered "major" is that this now opens up the possibility of a T-Mobile iPhone, if that interests you at all.
