Hi, Presently one of my friend has added a line for me.

Hi,
Presently one of my friend has added a line for me.

Once I get the SSN, I will be get out of his line and create my own
line with t-mobile. Will this be treated as break in contract ? Will I
be fined for that ?

And I have already paid approximately $ 150 for the phone, what will
happen with that if I continue with the same phone but I will get out
of his line and create my own account with t-mobile?

I have already completed one month period.

Thank You.

what you are doing is called a COR, or change of responsibility...it allows you to get on your own account while sparing him any termination fees...but keep in mind that this is not creating a new service, but instead migrating service from one person to another.....that means no deals on phones.....no promotions....just the same thing you got going on now but in your own name....if you were looking for deals you would have to break the contract under his name and start a fresh one in your own with a new number.

I'll try to help with any issue

Completing a change of responsibility is not seen as a break in contract, however, you will be responsible for whatever term is left in contract on that line. You say you've had it for one month, so if you were to switch it into your name today, you would then be responsible for the remaining 23 months of the original contract. The person who added your life will see no adverse affects from you moving your line into your own name.

Customer service at its best! I have your best interest at heart!

You can move your line out of your friend's name and into your name with your social by doing a Change of Responsibility, in which you must first be approved or qualify (through a credit check) to take the line under your SSN and your friend will have to release liability for the line and you will have to accept it. Once it is transferred into your name you will continue service as is with the current plan and contract that you originally signed up with. This is the best way to go about moving the line out of your friends name and into yours without occurring any cancellation fees.
