    Always be sure to keep your prescription meds with you in a carryon bag, so as not to risk having them away from you if you check your bag and then it is delayed or lost. Keep the medication in its original container with the prescription label. If you must check a bag containing prescription meds, I suggest keeping a few doses with you. I also recommend you carry a copy pf the prescription (you can obtain it from your doctor's office) in case you need to get a refill and are not near a chain pharmacy (like Walgreen's, WalMart, etc.). If you need to take the medicine with food, be sure to carry some crackers or similar food item with you as well.
