      Here's how u program ur remote. Point ur dish remote at the tv. Then press & hold the tv button at the very very top till all 4 lites lite up. Then press the big red power button once. Then press the channel up button slowly till ur tv turns off. Then press the pound (#) once. Then press the big red power till ur tv turns back on. That's it. :)

      Hey I put point at the tv. I ment ur surround sound. So press & hold the AUX button at the very very top till all 4 lites lite up. Then press the big red power button once. Now press the channel up till it turns ur surround sound off (make sure it's on b4 u start this). Press the channel up slowly till it turns off. Now when it does press the pound (#) once. Now turn it back on pressing the big red button 3 ton5 times or until it comes back on. Thank u. :)

    Depending on the type of cables u use to connect reciever to surround sound. The older boxes have component or coaxial connection just connect it according to the cable hook up and make sure u r on correct input neeeded to view pic if u have coax. Channel 3 or 4 component will be input. U might want to call and upgrade your reciever to high definition since u have new he Tv. That will be a better hookup done by technician

    when possible i always suggest running audio out from the tv to the stereo receiver so that no matter what you are watching you get audio. if you have optical audio do that as it is a better quality. if you have rca (red/white/yellow) just run the red white to the receiver. if you don't have audio out on the tv, run your rca output from the dish receiver to the input on the stereo receiver. be sure you are on the proper input and voila, you're golden.
