You need to change the input on your television. On TV or TV remote their is a button that says input, TV/Video, A/V, or Source. Push that (and keep pushing) waiting 3-4 seconds in between, and DVD picture will show up.

If ur talking bout ur inputs. Just go to ur input or source button & press slowly till u c ur tivo. Turn ur tivo on b4 doing this so u can c it.

normally you need a 2nd input on your TV. best to use RCA cables (Red, Yellow and White). Most DVD players do not have an input on them. You will have to consult your TV Manual for the additional input. Normally there is a button on your TV or your TV remote (reason I do not suggest the Directv remote is they are not normally programmed for TV input, although some are) to change the input sometimes called AV, AUX, Source, etc. I hope this was useful. Press the tv input button on your directv remote, to left corner. If the light doesn't blink when you press it, its not activated. To activate, press and hold the mute and select buttons at the same time until the remote blinks, then press 960. Then try the input button again

with your tv remote control use the imput button and change to what imput the dvr is set on. when done watching your movie change the imput back to dtv to resume watching tv
