Accepted answerCarry-on baggage does not have a weight restriction per se (it used to be 40 lbs) as the items are not weighed. You are permitted a maximum of two pieces to carry-on, one which must be able to fit under the seat in front of you (purse, laptop, briefcase, etc).
With this is mind, it shouldn't be too heavy that you cannot lift it into the overhead bin without assistance and should be no larger than a small roller-type bag (21-22 inches high). Many of the roller bags if expanded, become too large for the overhead so be cautious when packing. -

If you are traveling in coach: 50 lbs (23 kg)
62 inches (157 cm) when you total length+width+height
If you are traveling in business class: 70 lbs (32 kg)
62 inches (157 cm) when you total length+width+height2 comments-

I think what you are referring is the checked in luggage and not the carry-on baggage. Anyway thanks for the reply. -

Oh my gosh, you're right; I read that too fast. I apologize. There is no pre-set weight limit to carry on luggage.
