You would need to get in touch with Baggage Service. They are the ones who handle lost and found. If you are in the area of the airport you might want to check with them directly. All items found on the aircraft are supposed to be turned in but the people who clean the aircraft are not Delta employees. The cleaning is performed by an Italian company. Personally I could check at the airport because sometimes there are quirky things that only airport employees know. Also, if you can't locate Delta employees check with Al Italia employees since they are part of SkyTeam.
