We are long-time customers of Bank of America.
We are long-time customers of Bank of America. We have had and have all kinds of accounts and until recently also mortgages with the bank.
On Aug. 8th we applied for a refinance for one of our rentals. We had to provide all kinds of paperwork this loan including prooving where all deposits to our accounts came from for a two-month period. (Although I believe the bank has photo copies of deposits.
In January we were denied . It took 41/2 months for this process. We went to Alaska Credit Union and the process to 4 weeks with same terms. WHY???
In the interim we applied on Nov. 1st. for a refinance for our primary residence. This mortgage was held by Bank of America. Again resubmittel of mounds of paperwork.
We also paid $530.00 up front fee for this service. Again in mid. Jan. we were denied a refinance. Why could we not meet the new lower monthly mortgage obligation we were applying for, when we were paying the higher payments on the current Bank of America Mortgage? Makes your brain spin at the logic!
We were told to reapply. After this long process we no longer wanted to reapply.
What we want is our $530.00 back.
We contacted Michael Brogan Manager of Seattle Home Mortgages. He said the bank was going to refund our money. This is now the end of March and still no refund. Also Mr. Brogan seems reluctant to return our calls. What a way to treat good customers!
