Long story short, I have been with AT&T since 06, I moved to a different city and tried to take my existing uverse service with me. Uverse was not offered in my area, so I went ahead and set up an appointment for AT&T to come and set up broadband internet. Well they never showed, I rescheduled and then find out they cancelled my second appointment because they thought they came the first time. Well I ended up going with comcast, however, the internet/home phone services were listed on my AT&T account and was incurring charges outside of my cell phone plan. Well I had been paying on my cell phone bill and one day my phone service is suspended and I had to pull teeth to find out why. No one could explain what was going on with my account, some guy actually told me to go find another phone to use so I could call a rep. Turns out I have found myself with an $1,100 bill they claim I owe for my cell phone, which I have made monthly payments on and claim their system didnt update and delete the internet account but instead it was some how incurring mobile charges.....Now what? Because they messed up and I have tried for 8 months to delete the internet service listed, they can just claim I owe $1,100? What is one to do?

Michelline, call AT&T Corporate offices if you want to put a fire under these people do this. Call (210) 821-4105 and wait for the recording to prompt you to out in a number then press 5 . If anyone can remedy this they can. They don't want customers with bad experiences with AT&T . Good luck!

I feel I set quite a fire under them, with no one being able to help I found as many corporate contacts as I could, I was finally contacted by the presidents office.....not sure if it was that office that recently left a voicemail saying, "sorry, you owe $1100"....Should I still call the (210) number?

I would it doesn't hurt. They don't want bad publicity. When you talk to someone tell them you will talk to your local tv station believe me they should come running to help. Thank you!

I've done this for a very long time

Micheline I would keep fighting go into a corporate store to dispute these charges because calling and writing letters will take much longer because the information is in the database you'll be able to get this taken care of much faster.
