Yes ATT does allow for early upgrades. I got an upgrade 3 months earlier than scheduled.

You can go to att.com and under the "Shop" drop down option hit "wireless". then you will click "upgrade" under the "existing customers" option top right of the page.

This will require you to login. then you select your wireless phone number that you wish to upgrade (if you have multiple lines). It will tell you if you are eligible for an early upgrade. If you don't see that you are you may call in and talk to a rep to see if they will work something out. Sometimes they do if you sign another two-year contract.

you can only upgrade early if you are not upgrading an IPhone. if it is an IPhone then no, you cannot upgrade early. Anything else, then they will usually allow it.

    AT&T sales rep.

This expert is helping you out because there weren't many active AT&T Wireless experts.

Upgrading early depends on a few things. One if your account is up to date on your payments, two you have to qualify for an early upgrade which depends on your record of payments, lastly if everything checks out there is a fee you have to pay depending on your upgrade date its usually 50 for basic phone, 150 for all smartphones EXCLUDING the iPhone, the iPhone however. is 250 for early upgrade, and these fees are added additionally on top of the phone's price. Goodluck Libby!

Call customer care and speak to a live rep and tell them the problems you are having and they will work something out because no company wants to lose any customer.
